Google izstrādātāju grupas (GIG) (Google Developer Groups) ir paredzētas izstrādātājiem, kurus interesē Google izstrādātāju tehnoloģija — gan Android, App Engine un Google Chrome platformas, gan tādi produktu API kā Maps API, YouTube API un Google kalendāra API. GIG var būt dažādās formās — daži lietotāji, kas sapulcējas, lai skatītos mūsu jaunāko videoklipu, kā arī lielas sanāksmes ar demonstrācijām un tehniskām sarunām un tādi pasākumi kā kodsprinti un hakatoni. Tomēr pārsvarā pakalpojums GIG ir paredzēts izstrādātājiem un tehniskā satura publicēšanai, un galvenā mērķauditorija ir izstrādātāji.
Šajā ceturtdienā Rīgas Google izstrādātāju grupa svin savu pirmo dzimšanas dienu un tam par godu rīko pasākumu, kurā ar runu uzstāsies Google pārstāvis Vytautas Kubilius un arī es pats. Pasākuma norises vieta: Tallink Hotel Riga (Elizabetes iela 24) un tā sākums 19:00. Pasteidzies, palikušas vien dažas brīvas vietas.
